Clinical Science Library
What is the Clinical Science Library?
The Clinical Science Library is Laser Equipment Global’s organized guide to the science behind professional laser and light platforms. It groups our technology explainers, clinical education, training guides and blog articles into four silos — picosecond, diode, CO₂ and IPL/DPL — and connects each to the peer-reviewed studies in our evidence library, so a clinic can understand a category before choosing a platform.
Start with the technology class your clinic is evaluating. Each silo opens with a direct answer, the questions buyers ask most, and every article we have published on that technology — from how it works to how it is taught.
Technology silos
- Picosecond Laser Science How picosecond pulses fragment tattoo ink and pigment, why wavelength and pulse duration matter, and the treatment menu a multi-modality pico platform opens for a clinic. 46 articles and explainers
- Diode Laser Science Why 808 nm is the diode hair-reduction standard, what triple wavelength adds, and how cooling, spot size and in-motion technique turn hair removal into a fast, repeatable service. 23 articles and explainers
- CO₂ Laser Science How 10,600 nm CO₂ energy resurfaces skin and cuts soft tissue, the difference between fractional and ablative treatment, and how one platform family serves aesthetic, dental and veterinary practice. 29 articles and explainers
- IPL and DPL Science How narrowband DPL refines traditional IPL with selectable filter ranges, and how one pulsed-light platform sells a full menu — pigment, redness, acne support and rejuvenation. 20 articles and explainers
Research library
The articles in this library rest on published research. Our evidence library lists 19 peer-reviewed studies alongside the regulator records and manufacturer documentation behind our claims, each with the date it was last verified. A few of the studies it holds:
