Laser technology library
The laser and light-based technologies behind Pro 1 Laser platforms — explained for clinics choosing equipment, with each guide linking the systems that deliver it.
Core laser and light technologies
- 10,600 nm CO₂ Laser The far-infrared wavelength produced by carbon dioxide laser sources, strongly absorbed by water and therefore by tissue generally.
- Ablative CO₂ Laser A CO₂ delivery mode in which energy is absorbed at the surface strongly enough to remove tissue rather than heat it alone.
- Contact Cooling A cooling method in which a chilled handpiece surface contacts the tissue during treatment, protecting the surface while energy passes through it.
- Controlled Thermal Remodeling Delivery of controlled heat to the dermis to support tissue remodeling while limiting effects on surrounding structures.
- Diode Laser Hair Removal The use of semiconductor diode laser sources for hair removal treatments in professional aesthetic clinics.
- Dynamic Pulsed Light (DPL) A filtered-light approach in which pulse delivery is actively controlled, rather than the spectrum alone being selected by a filter.
- Fractional CO₂ Laser A CO₂ laser delivery method that treats a fraction of the surface in a pattern of microscopic zones, leaving untreated tissue in between.
- Fractional Scanning The delivery hardware that places a fractional pattern across a treatment area, distributing zones in a controlled array.
- In-Motion Laser Hair Removal The application of continuous-movement handpiece technique to hair removal treatments on diode laser platforms.
- Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) A broad-spectrum, filtered light technology used on multi-application platforms in professional aesthetic and dermatology clinics.
- Long-Pulse Nd:YAG A long-pulse 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser that heats vascular and dermal targets — used for veins, redness, dermal heating, and selected hair-reduction protocols.
- Narrowband Filtered Light A filtering approach that narrows the delivered band of a broad-spectrum light source, concentrating output into a tighter portion of the spectrum.
- Photorejuvenation The photofacial: a repeatable light-based service for tone, pigment and redness that keeps aesthetic schedules full.
- Picosecond Laser A laser modality that emits ultra-short, picosecond-domain pulses, used on multi-application platforms by professional aesthetic and dermatology clinics.
- Q-Switched Nd:YAG A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivering nanosecond pulses at 1064 and 532 nm — a pigment and tattoo modality that complements picosecond delivery.
- Selective Photothermolysis The principle of matching laser wavelength and pulse duration to a target so heat is confined to it, sparing the surrounding tissue.
- Triple-Wavelength Diode Laser 755, 808 and 1064 nm in one handpiece — how a triple-wavelength diode lets one room book more hair types, skin types and patients.
Pro 1 Laser branded technologies
The named delivery and treatment technologies built into Pro 1 Laser platforms — what each one does for the clinic, and which systems carry it.
- FAC Collimated Beam Beam-shaping optics that collimate a diode source's rapidly diverging axis to produce a more uniform, directed output.
- PicoFusion™ Pro 1 Pico's 750 ps rapid-fire picosecond pulse-stacking mode — cumulative dermal stimulation for collagen banking and skin-quality maintenance.
- PicoMatrix™ PicoMatrix™ is the Pro 1 Pico advanced remodeling handpiece. PicoMatrix™ expands Pro 1 Pico into advanced texture, scar and skin-quality treatments.
- TruePulse™ Technology A Pro 1 Laser pulse-control and beam-delivery feature on the DioLase Titanium platform, intended to deliver energy consistently across each pulse.
