What TruePulse™ describes

TruePulse™ is Pro 1 Laser’s beam-delivery and pulse-control feature on the DioLase Titanium platform. It combines collimated beam delivery — see FAC collimated beam — with pulse control, intended to direct emitted energy consistently to the target area.

It is a delivery specification, not a wavelength. What energy is delivered is described by the platform’s wavelengths; TruePulse™ describes how that energy is shaped and delivered.

Why delivery consistency matters

Selective photothermolysis holds that heat confinement depends on the relationship between how quickly energy is delivered and how quickly the target sheds it. Pulse behaviour is therefore not incidental — it is half of what determines whether energy stays where it lands.

A pulse that varies from shot to shot makes that relationship vary too. Consistency is what allows a provider to work from training and expect the platform to behave the same way each time, and it is part of why two platforms with comparable wavelength and power specifications can feel different in use.

Consistency between operators matters commercially as much as clinically. A platform whose behaviour is predictable is easier to train staff on and easier to deliver a standardised service with — which affects how confidently a clinic can schedule and price the work.

Two dimensions of delivery

A delivery system shapes energy in space and controls it in time. Collimation addresses the first; pulse control addresses the second. TruePulse™ covers both, which is why it is described as a delivery feature rather than an optic or a pulse setting.

When comparing platforms, it is worth separating these. A system may be well engineered on one dimension and ordinary on the other, and a single marketing term can obscure that.
