Pro 1 Laser Hands-On Device Training Policy
Pro 1 Laser trains your team on your device: manufacturer-led education on operation, handpieces, workflow and safety, plus supervised hands-on practice on consenting models when conditions allow. Clinics and practitioners retain their clinical and professional responsibilities.
What does Pro 1 Laser hands-on training include?
Pro 1 Laser training covers device operation, laser safety, handpieces, manufacturer-supported parameters, workflow and treatment endpoints. Depending on the program, eligible operators may practise on consenting adult models under instructor guidance. Training documents device education; each clinic and practitioner remains responsible for lawful practice, individual treatment decisions and follow-up care.
More Than Equipment Delivery
A laser earns revenue only when the team runs it confidently from the first booked patient. Pro 1 Laser provides manufacturer-led education so your team understands the technology, operates the system confidently and safely, and knows its workflows, handpieces, treatment modes and capabilities before patients are on the schedule.
Depending on the device, location and agreed program, training may include classroom instruction, demonstrations and supervised hands-on practice. Ask your Product Specialist to confirm the training included with your purchase.
What Pro 1 Laser Training Includes
Training is tailored to the technology purchased and may cover:
- Device setup, startup and shutdown; system controls and user interface
- Treatment modes, wavelength options and delivery technologies
- Handpiece selection, handling and technique
- Manufacturer-supported operating ranges and parameter-adjustment principles
- Spot size, energy, pulse duration and repetition rate, where applicable
- Treatment workflow and recognition of appropriate endpoints
- Laser safety, protective eyewear and treatment-area preparation
- Contraindication awareness and screening principles
- Post-treatment considerations, cleaning and routine maintenance
- Troubleshooting, technical support, guided practice and case-based discussion
Hands-On Training
Training includes supervised practice on consenting adult models when the program and conditions allow. Instructors demonstrate techniques and guide attendees in positioning, handpiece use, workflow, supported parameter selection and recognition of treatment endpoints.
Hands-on activities depend on applicable laws, operator eligibility, facility policies, model suitability and appropriate safety precautions. The treating operator and any required clinical supervisor must be identified before treatment. Pro 1 Laser may modify, postpone or decline an activity when conditions are unsuitable or unsafe.
Manufacturer Device Training
Pro 1 Laser provides manufacturer-specific device education. Training does not grant a medical or professional licence, expand an attendee’s scope of practice, or replace education, registration, medical direction or qualifications required in the jurisdiction where the operator practises.
Each clinic and practitioner must confirm the requirements applicable to the procedures they provide. Pro 1 instructors remain responsible for their own conduct and applicable professional duties during demonstrations and instruction.
Clinical Responsibility
The treating clinic and practitioner remain responsible for patient or model assessment and their treatment decisions, including:
- Medical history, suitability and contraindication screening
- Valid informed consent and treatment documentation
- Professional scope of practice and required authorization or clinical supervision
- Compliance with provincial, territorial and local requirements
- Appropriate professional liability insurance
- Aftercare, follow-up and management of treatment concerns
Training on Live Models
Before treatment, models must complete appropriate screening and a treatment-specific informed-consent discussion. They must understand the educational setting and any trainee involvement, with an opportunity to ask questions, decline participation or stop treatment.
Attendees sign the Training Participation and Responsibility Agreement; anyone receiving treatment signs a separate Live Model Consent Form. The hosting clinic must ensure lawful treatment at its facility and any required oversight. Aftercare and a responsible clinical follow-up contact must be arranged before treatment.
Instructors may decline a model where there is a contraindication, an unresolved concern, inadequate information or another reason that makes treatment inappropriate.
Treatment Parameters and Protocols
Instructors explain the operating characteristics of the device and may review manufacturer-supported starting ranges, treatment approaches, endpoints and adjustment principles.
Final decisions must consider the individual patient, indication, skin type, treatment history and response. Training should be used with the operator manual, applicable device guidance and the practitioner’s existing education and clinical responsibilities.
Before Independent Operation
Operators must complete applicable device training, read the operator manual and safety information, understand device-specific safety requirements, and have appropriate education for the procedures they intend to perform.
They must also confirm local professional and regulatory requirements and maintain any required supervision, medical direction and insurance. Requirements vary by province, profession and treatment type.
Certificate of Device Training
Participants who successfully complete an applicable program may receive a Certificate of Completion documenting manufacturer-specific device training.
The certificate records completion of Pro 1 Laser equipment education. It is not a professional licence, does not independently authorize treatment and does not certify overall clinical competence.
Ongoing Training and Support
Clients can contact Pro 1 Laser for product education and technical support relating to device operation, modes and handpieces, manufacturer-supported parameters, workflow, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Refresher and advanced in-person education may be available through Pro 1 Laser Academy. Availability, location, fees and any included sessions depend on the purchased package or separate training arrangement.
Our Training Philosophy
